School Uniform
At Keston Primary School, we endeavour to achieve a high standard in all our activities at school and expect this to be reflected in both the appearance and behaviour of our pupils. We believe that uniform provides children with a sense of pride in their school.
All children must have full school uniform, worn correctly, for daily attendance at school, and for when participating in a school organised events.
Our uniform can be purchased through Claddish (please see the link below).
Our PTA holds a stock of second hand uniform, that can be ordered through the school office.
Nursery
Reception to Year 6
- White or blue cellular collared sports shirts or polo-shirt or plain or with school badge
- Royal blue sweatshirt with plain or with school badge
- Winter - navy blue track suit bottoms/leggings
- Summer – royal blue shorts
- Trainers or closed in shoes - with velcro fastening only
- Mid-Grey tailored shorts
- Mid-grey straight leg, traditional trouser
- Grey pinafore dress
- Grey skirt - skirts should be at least knee length but no more than 10cm below the knee. Straight skirts are not permitted.
- White or blue cellular collared sports shirts or T-shirt, plain or with school badge
- Royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan with school badge
- Socks – Mid-grey or white
- Tights - Mid grey / black
During the summer term until the October half term, blue & white check dresses may be worn. Dresses should be at least knee length but no more than 10cm below the knee.
White socks - ankle or knee length
Hair:
Patterns shaved into the hair are not permitted, hair falling below the shoulders must be tied up with blue, yellow or white ties. Hairbands should be plain blue, yellow or white – no flowers. Gel may be used to neaten the hair but not for styling.
Shoes:
Please ensure children wear navy blue or black shoes that are easy for them to remove and where possible with a rubber sole to prevent accidents, especially in the playground. Shoes with heels are not permitted. If children wear boots to school please send another pair of shoes for them to change into.
Trainers, boots and open-toe sandals are not acceptable.
Coats:
Coats should be school jackets, or any navy, royal blue or black coat
Hats/caps:
School cap or royal blue or white hat or cap – NO LOGO
PE Kit
Reception /KS1
Royal blue shorts, white t-shirt.
Plimsolls or trainers (black or white) are required for outdoor activities; please try to buy the slip on style/velcro. These should be in a small shoe bag marked with the child's name.
KS2
Royal blue shorts, white t-shirt,
Plimsolls or trainers (black or white) with socks are required for outdoor activities.
Tracksuit bottoms are useful for cold weather. Tracksuit bottoms must be black or navy and free of any logos and should be worn with a normal Keston School Jumper.
Swimming
Girls:
One piece costume, towel and hat
Keston swimming hats are available from the swimming instructor.
Boys:
Lycra swimming trunks, towel and hat. Bermuda style or football shorts are not allowed as these restrict leg movement so are unsuitable for lessons
Keston swimming hats are available from the swimming instructor.
