PE and Sport Premium Funding for Primary Schools
Primary schools receive an amount of money each year, to making additional and sustainable improvements that further improve our participation in extra-curricular sport and to drive standards and progress in curriculum PE lessons.
Schools receive Sports Premium funding based on the number of pupils in years 1-6. For the academic year 2019/2020 Keston Primary School received £19,580.
At Keston we are using the funding to develop the children's fitness and extend excellence and enjoyment in a range of sport. All children have weekly high quality sports activities which encompass a range of sports including swimming and running.
Keston children take part in a part in a range of competitive sporting activities including:
- local borough competitions, such as netball, football, athletics and swimming
- further tournaments and fixtures with the other primary schools within our cluster
- Swimming galas and competitions with local schools
