We are delighted that you are considering Keston Primary School for your child. One of the best ways to get to know a school is to visit. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions we are unable to host visits to the school at the moment.

We are however delighted to be able to share with you a virtual tour of the school’s Nursery and Reception classes, we hope this, along with our School Council video, our handbook and welcome video, will provide you with the information you need, to know whether Keston is the right school for you and your child.

Admission to Keston Primary School

The children enter the school full time during the autumn term of the academic year in which they will be five years old.

All applications for the school are processed through the Local Authority(LA) and not directly with the school.

Closing date for Nursery Applications are 31st January 2021.

To be considered for a place, parents should apply directly to the school by 31st January 2021; places cannot be guaranteed. Application forms should be emailed to the school office office@keston.croydon.sch.uk:

Parents of children who are allocated a place will be notified by the end of March.

Entry to the nursery does not guarantee a place at Keston Primary School

In Year Admissions

Occasionally spaces are available in year groups other than Reception.  Please contact the office to enquire about available places.

Appeals Timetable in accordance with the School Admissions Appeal Code 2012 and The School Admissions (England) (Coronavirus) (Appeals Arrangements)(Amendment) Regulations 2021.

Primary admission appeals to be heard between 7 June 2021 and 22 July 2021

a) Deadline for Lodging Appeals: 17 May 2021. Appeal forms received within the deadline will be heard between 7 June 2021 and 22 July 2021. We aim to hear all appeals lodged within the normal timescales before 22 July 2021, however some appeals may be heard during August.

b) Appellants will receive notice of the date of their appeal hearing at least 14 calendar days before the hearing date and, where possible, up to 21 calendar days ahead of the date.

c) Appellants must submit their additional evidence and the admission authority to submit their evidence at least 14 calendar days prior to the hearing date.

d) Decision letters will be sent to appellants within 7 calendar days of the hearing, or, where multiple appeals for a school are heard on more than one day within 7 calendar days of the last hearing day for that school.
