On Friday 24th March, we held our first mark making workshop! Lots of parents came along to see how we are developing our mark making skills as early writers.

We had gross motor activities, such as throwing painted cotton balls at a piece of paper (or the window), which help us develop muscle strength from the top of our arm.

We had fine motor activities, such as pipettes and coloured water, to develop the strength of the muscles in our hands.  We also had opportunities to practice writing our own names, as well as opportunities for purposeful writing in Ladybirds's Cafe and Bumblebees's Post Office.

We all had great fun! Thank you to everyone who came.
