Extra Curricular Activities

Keston Primary School offers lots of after school clubs for children in Year 1 - Year 6

Infant and Junior Choir

The Year 2 Infant choir have recently performed in the Croydon Schools Music Association Festival. The children had a large number of songs to learn; event organisers commented on how well the children performed.

On the 20th April 2017 Miss Swainson and Mrs Woods have organised a concert for those children who are involved in school choirs and some instrumental lessons.   There will be tickets available for those appearing in this production at 2pm and 6.30pm performances.

Musical Theatre Choir

Tennis Club - Thursdays after school

Years 3 to 6 can learn the basic tennis skills and racket control

Lego Club - Mondays after school

Golf Club - Tuesdays after school

We are lucky to have an ex-pro golf teacher that teaches skills all year round which can be indoors and outdoors.  (depending on weather).

Gymnastics - Wednesdays after school

This is an external organisation that teaches gymnastics on equipment and floor. Please contact Active Sports on 07714852528.

This is an autumn and spring term club to help learn basics of growing and making crafts related to gardening.

Craft Club

This is run for specific groups/classes which alters each term. This helps with creativity and imagination. It explores using lots of fun materials and completing a project to bring home at the end.  Cost is normally £5 per child to cover the craft supplies.  Letters will be sent out after half terms.

Athletics/Cross Country Club - Wednesdays after school

This club runs through the summer term.  It is  for selected children  who will represent  Keston Primary School at the Croydon athletics festival and the Coulsdon Cluster Sports event.

Science club

This was an Autumn term club for all those interested in hands on Science.  They had fun with creating lots of practical science in a classroom based environment.

Through mindfulness sessions, children will be invited to follow some simple relaxation techniques and yoga stretches. These will help them to know how to relax and develop concentration and boost self-esteem.

This is a new club from Spring term 2017 open to years 3 to 6. We have invested in new fitted posts outdoors and a hoop in our infant hall so all can learn fast paced ball skills and jumping/scoring.
